Cultivating Your Resolve - Yoga Asana, Pranayama & Yoga Nidra
Yoga Mala’s offering for the New Year is a series of three special 90-minute classes.
This special class explores the possibility of cultivating inner
transformation through a well-balanced class of asana (postures),
pranayama (breathing practices) and yoga nidra (yogic sleep). The asanas
work on balancing your body, pranayama unblocks energetic pathways and
yoga nidra leads you into deep relaxation.
Yoga Nidra is a powerful technique where you learn to
relax consciously in savasana. This practice is much-loved by all as it
is very relaxing and refreshing. It is the state of dynamic sleep, where
one remains aware. In Yoga Nidra, you’re accessing the state between
waking and dreaming where your brainwaves enter the alpha brainwave
pattern and you experience a deep state of relaxation. Move away from
external stimulus and go inward to achieve this deep relaxation. And in
this state of deep relaxation, our brain becomes extremely receptive to
any resolution that we choose for ourselves for this coming new year.
